Greensboro Coliseum Needs To Get It Together
Our experience at Greensboro Coliseum this past weekend for SiM was by far one of the worst venue experiences we鈥檝e ever had. The staff did not seem adequately prepared Ormond to handle the crowd that had gathered outside prior to doors opening. By the time we ran up to the concourse level and halfway around the arena, there were already people flowing into the pit. Some of us were told we had to run upstairs and halfway around the concourse before we could find the stairs that would take us down into the pit. SiM has diehard fans, many of us arrive very early in the morning to secure our spot in the front of the general admission pit. Meanwhile, others were told they were already on the pit level and would just be able to run straight in. Large and small venues all over the country. There were also no clear directions on which way to go to get access to the pit. Other venues will typically come out and scan our tickets and give us our wristbands early, so that when doors open all we have to do is go through security and we can rush to the pit to get our spot. In our tickets were checked again by the person with the wristbands with again created another massive bottleneck.
